Hello
Since our last post, not much has been going on. Well, that isn't true, Nate had a birthday and we had a nice birthday weekend. He and I went out to dinner and then to a friends karaoke party at a Korean restaurant in town. Nate, as you would suspect, didn't get up and sing, but I did! Actually, only because it was his birthday did I get up and sing "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver. He was proud and I didn't break any windows!
We had a nice Easter and hope you all did too. We dyed Easter eggs and had an egg hunt, and a nice brunch with friends. Pictures to follow.
Odds and ends:
Funny Otto story:
Two doors in our house weren't working properly. The back door wouldn't lock and another door wouldn't stay shut. That is besides the point. So, I was having the "handy man" come over to fix the doors.
After a while of the him being in our house, Otto looks over and says, "is he the guy that breaks everything?" I guess he DOES listen to what I say. Oops. Good thing Otto doesn't speak enough Amharic to say that and the handy man didn't speak enough English to understand. Point taken: watch your mouth, Mom!
Arlo is great. Funny fellow. Loves music, dancing, and reading books. He hasn't stopped talking, and now loves to sing.....especially "twinkle twinkle little star." He loves to do everything his brother does. We are worried he may not have his own identity!
Nate is good. No complaints. But then again, he doesn't complain much. Work is good and keeping him busy.
Work for me, you ask? Yes, didn't I mention a few blogs back that I would be working here in Addis, with Peace Corps? Well, it has taken that long to finalize my employment. I supposedly got hired a few months back (or so I thought) and now I'm going through all the US gov't hoops to actually start working. Fingerprints ...check. Well, I'd explain the rest of the stuff I have to do, but it's not that exciting. Really. Just know, that I'm SUPPOSED to start working the 16th of May. We'll see how that goes!
Happy 7.5 months in Addis to us! See some/most of you in August/September!
Sending our love.
Kelly, Nate, Otto and Arlo

Watching your videos was almost like being there...almost. It looks like the Easter Bunny really is a world traveler, because he reached all our grandchildren on the same day! We miss and love you all! Watch for Arlo's birthday box! Love, PawPaw & Grandma
