Believe it or not, we had more parties planned this Halloween weekend, then if we were in Portland. The International Community School had a Halloween festival on Saturday and Otto's favorite part was the haunted house. Arlo's favorite part was the mini chocolate bar he ate after his brother went trick or treating.
We thought the kids should be Giants baseball players, considering all the mayhem in San Francisco, but Otto's shirt was filthy (have I mentioned our washing machine is still sitting at Mercy Corps, waiting for us to move) and Arlo only had a Giants sweatshirt. Grandma Oetting sent a package that showed up on Friday with new clothes in them. I'm sure they weren't meant to be Halloween costumes, but they served a perfect purpose. Thanks Grandma. And, this was the first time the boys wore the same clothes. They were easy to spot at both parties. Have no fear, I did laundry in a friends washing machine today, and maybe, just maybe, the Giants shirt will be worn on Otto's first day of school. Speaking of, how about them Giants....huh Gary??
We went to another Halloween party on Sunday of a fellow playdate Mom who had a lovely yard filled with activities such as bobbing for apples, pumpkin carving, costume making and face painting...amongst all the toys she had in the yard. The boys enjoyed the sand box and the toys. In fact, couldn't get them out of the sandbox. And, we found someone to hopefully make us a sandbox when we move to our new house.
House update, if anyone is interested. Inshallah, we move in on Wednesday, which is postponed from tomorrow. Long story. Suffice to say, Wednesday is move day. Pictures of the new house to follow.
Hope everyone is having a grand time trick or treating or celebrating Halloween however is custom to you.
Here are a few pictures of the festivities.
Love,
Kelly and all 3 boys.

Hey guys!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely had more festivites than we did! I am so happy to see all your fun photos! The boys don't even know they are missing out on anything...in fact they didn't. Can't wait to see what they put on for Thanksgiving:) I am sure we will be jealous!
